A profile is a list of features you wish to change. The application comes configured with some recommended profiles but you can customise them to your needs.

Going away for a long weekend ?

* Enable Battery Extender's Max Battery profile. This turns on all the power saving features to their highest levelto give you the maximum battery performance.

Going walking/running and want to be geo tagging your photos or mapping your route ?

* Enable Battery Extender's Outdoor sports profile. This will enable the maximum battery performance, saving energy on unneeded features, to stop the power hungry GPS receiver from completely draining your battery.

Want to be using Google Latitude but not at the expense of a flat battery ?

* Add Google Maps to the list of applications to close down when you battery level drops below 3 bars.

Just want your phone to last longer ?

* Use the Improved Battery profile to start only changing settings when the battery runs low

Nokia Friend View is a location and micro-blogging service that helps you stay in touch with your close friends. It lets you share where you are and how you feel from home, work, or on the go. With Friend View it is easy to meet up at only a moment's notice.

Friend View uses Integrated GPS, Bluetooth GPS and Network Based positioning when available. When you use Friend View on your phone, it keeps a data connection open all the time, so we recommend that you only use it if you have a 'flat rate' data plan.

Friend View takes another small step to make you feel closer to you friends! We have just released a Spring gift for you! A nice update to the S60 application with Friend alerts!

Now you can keep Friend View in the background in “Normal” or “Active” modes (options: Refresh Mode) and a “pling-plung” from Friend View will tell you that your friend is close by so you can meet. You will of course get alerted as well if Friend View is in use in foreground.

A sample rules list could look like this:

AutoThemes in Use: Rules for Themes ChangeAutoThemes performs automatic themes change on your Series 60 v3 Symbian smart phone. Themes change is made using your own rules, which you have to create.
AutoThemes allows creating two types of rules: time based rule and profile based ones. Nokia theme can be changed at exact time, or can be changed when certain profile is activated.Theme changer rules are totally adjustable, with ability to activate or deactivate the rule with one key pressing, edit time or condition of theme change.
You have to select the frequency of theme changing if you choose time based condition:Once – one time changing;Daily or weekdays – theme will change daily or on the defined weekdays;Monthly – theme change on the exact day of every month.You have to choose the profile when the theme will be changed, if you create a profile based rule.In order to avoid overlapping of rules the priority of rules has been set. All the rules are listed on your main application screen and sorted by theme name.
